Life Lines - Issue 1

Hello and welcome to the second March issue of my e-newsletter, Life Lines.

In my last issue, I introduced my personal trainer Rod Stanley, a fitness specialist-expert and nutrition counselor who recently joined my Life team as an exercise/nutrition counselor.

Because Rod has been such a huge help to me these past three years, I've turned part of my column over to him against this issue to give you a "virtual" personal training session.

This Life Lines E-newsletter is part of that process.

  • My Life Beat: It's all about whole-body training to ensure muscular balance. But what does that really entail? Rod walks you through some key points, discussing tempo, reps, sets and rest periods.
  • Life Lessons: Would progressive resistance training help people over age 60? Read this issue's Life Lessons to find out what a 2009 study revealed.
  • Ask Dr. Life: When it comes to workouts, is there an essential vitamin? Read my answer on page 4 of this issue.
  • Annie's "Life" Recipes: A delicious twist to an old favorite. My wife gets creative with her baked stuffed flounder fillet. Quick and healthy.

Stay in control of your health: Read Life Lines. Take a few moments and browse this issue-or print it out for a later read.
